Companionship

Home is the place that you feel most relaxed, able to “be yourself” and be happy – it is your Sanctuary. Proud To Care Social Companionship service gives you the confidence and support needed to live independently. Keeping loneliness away will help enhance your quality of life and that is our aim.

Our Social Companionship service provides you with reassurance that someone is there to offer support when it is needed. It also provides peace of mind for family members who may be unable to regularly visit, as they know you will have great company and are being cared for.

Our Care and Support Workers, who are carefully selected to match your personality and requirements, will provide company and conversation, as well as providing support with social activities. The service is tailored to your requirements and can be flexible to meet your changing needs.

Company - As part of our social companionship service, your Care and Support Worker will spend time with you, whether that is sitting and chatting, watching television, looking through photograph albums, doing some reminiscing, or going out for short walks. They will be there to lighten the day and help with your overall well-being and stop the feelings of loneliness.

Daily Routine - If you have trouble remembering all you need to do and when, your Care and Support Worker can help you. They can give you gentle reminders such as when to take your medication, to attend Hospital appointments, call your friends and keep in touch, to write Anniversary and Birthday cards, to feed the cats or dogs and put out the recycling plus many other practical things that help you to remain independent.

Day Trips Out - In addition to helping you with short day-to-day outings, your Care and Support Worker will be happy to go with you on full day trips offering peace of mind to you and your family.

Social Activities - Wherever possible, we will encourage you to engage in social activities. That may including bringing you and your friends together for a chat and a cup of tea or helping you get out for a meal, go to watch a film or see something at the theatre.

What Next - In order to provide you with a Support Service which matches your requirements exactly, we will arrange for a member of our Team to visit you and carry out a full assessment of your individual circumstances and needs. Following this visit, we will provide you with a fully costed proposal for your care package.
